Launching
The act of the formal launch of the project was held at Monday June 18, 2007, at the VIPE´s Conference Room facilities at the UTP – Tocumen Campus. The purpose of this activity was to inform both the university community and the institutions and individuals involved, about background, objectives, methodology and expected results. We should stress the importance for our country, of the constant monitoring of rivers such Pacora, since these bodies of water are vital for the operation of the Panama Canal, the production of Hydroelectric Power and most important a main source of drinking water.
