About the program

Every year since 1963, around twenty internationally recognized cultural producers of all ages who have developed a distinctive creative practice and have already produced a substantial body of work in the field of visual arts, film, literature, or music have been invited to spend twelve months living and working in Berlin. Invitations to filmmakers are issued for six months.

An invitation to participate in the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program is one of the most sought-after fellowships in the world.
