Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme - EDISS

EDISS or Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme on the Engineering of Data-intensive Intelligent Software Systems intends to bring together software engineering educators working in data collection, data-driven assessment, and decision-making for both design- and runtime and software engineers, architects, and data scientists working on data pipelines, data architectures, DataOps and in experimentation systems. 

DEADLINES

Deadline for 1st period: From November 15th to December 27th, 2021 (for the Erasmus Mundus scholarships)

Deadline for 2nd period: From March 2nd to March 11th, 2022  for self-paying students (i.e. no Erasmus Mundus scholarships will be available during this round) 

How to apply?

The online application form is available in the Studyinfo.fi portal only during the application period.

Step 1: Check requirements - Read carefully the general instructions regarding the academic and English language requirements. Make sure that you fulfill all the requirements before applying. If you need to take a language test, book and take one well in advance.

Step 2: Collect the required enclosures and prepare them - check the Admission Requirements

Minimum eligibility criteria

  1. A Bachelor’s or equivalent undergraduate degree (at least 180 ECTS) from an accredited university, in computer sciencesoftware engineering, or equivalent subject. An officially certified or legalized scanned copy of the original Bachelor's degree certificate in the original language and authorized translation of the original degree certificate in English. 
  2. Good command of English language: TOEFL iBT (minimum score 93) or IELTS Academic (minimum score 6,5 with no individual score under 6). Proof of language skills in English (TOEFL iBT / IELTS Academic, or certificate of exception). 

Other documents required: 

  1. An officially certified or legalized scanned copy of the original transcript records in the original language and authorized translation of the original degree certificate in English. 
  2. A diploma supplement (if available)
  3. Copy of passport
  4. A certificate of residence
  5. Curriculum vitae (CV) 
  6. Two academic recommendation letters
  7. Motivation video (2 min +/ - 30 seconds) 
  8. Copies of relevant work, certificates, publications, or other relevant activities (if available) 

Step 3: Apply online at Studyinfo.fi, You will not be able to save your application as a draft version. You need to fill in all the required information and upload required enclosures in order to submit your application. If you want to make changes to your application, use the link provided in your confirmation email. The email is sent after the submission of your application. Please note that this link is personal. Giving it to someone else means that they can make changes to your application. You can make changes to your application until the application deadline.

Step 4: Check and submit your application within the given deadline! You will be able to upload enclosures to your application up to one week after the application deadline, but you will not be able to change any other information in the application form after the application deadline has passed.

Step 5: Verification of original documents. We require all admitted applicants to submit their original degree certificates and transcript of records, including official translations, of the documents for verification upon arrival in Finland. The verification of the original documents will be done by the EDISS programme office and the admission office of Åbo Akademi University.
