International Staff Week - Bridging Academia with Industry: Research, Internships and AI in Practice

One Staff Week - Two countries, Three universities!

After five successful joint Staff Weeks organized by the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and OTH Amberg-Weiden, a new co-organizer joins this initiative: Lodz University of Technology (Poland).

The three partner institutions are pleased to announce the 6th International Staff Week, focused on:

“Bridging Academia with Industry: Research, Internships and AI in Practice.”

1. Programme Overview

  • Two virtual sessions: March 27 and April 13

  • In-face sessions: Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24 , 2026

  • On-site activities including three days in Pilsen, Czech Republic, followed by two days in Bavaria, Germany (Weiden and Amberg)

  • Transportation between Germany and Pilsen will be provided

The programme will feature presentations, workshops, panel discussions, company visits, tours of research and technology centres, as well as campus and city tours at the participating universities.

This Staff Week offers a balanced combination of professional insight, practical exchange, and international networking opportunities, while allowing participants to experience three neighbouring European cultures, each with its own distinctive character.

Participants are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation costs.

2. Required Documentation

Interested applicants must submit the following documents in a single PDF file to the email address: [email protected]

  • Copy of a valid passport
  • Curriculum vitae, including academic and/or professional achievements
  • Proof of affiliation with the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá
  • Proof of English language proficiency (minimum level B1/B2)
  • Motivation letter
  • Letter of approval from the immediate supervisor

3. Process Overview

  • If selected for the mobility, applicants will be notified by email by the Office of International Relations.
  • Once the selection notification is received, the selected participant must purchase their airline ticket as soon as possible.
  • The selected participant must prepare a report on their experience and the contacts established within five (5) days after returning from the mobility period.

4. Application Deadline
