International Summer School - Universidad Politécnica de Madrid

The UPM International Summer School is a multilingual study abroad programme. It addresses some of the latest trends in engineering and architecture, combined with a taste of Spanish language and culture in one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities.

The UPM International Summer School reaches out to a worldwide audience by combining courses taught in English (Anglotech) and Spanish (Hispanotech).

Students of the UPM International Summer School will:

  • Get acquainted with the latest technological trends, visit laboratories and benefit from the insight of industry experts
  • Gain access to advanced knowledge on architecture and engineering, and visit notable buildings and sites
  • Experience learning in a multicultural classroom with peers from different parts of the world
  • Get a feeling for Spanish language, an appreciation of Spanish culture and enjoy the Spanish way of life

The UPM International Summer School offers face to face courses on one of the UPM’s campuses.

The UPM International Summer School also offers an interesting cultural and social programme, including day trips to world heritage sites like Toledo, Segovia, and guided walks around Madrid and visits to the Prado and Reina Sofía Museums.

I. Important Dates

Registration deadline: April 28th, 2025, AT 11:00 a.m.

The UPM International Summer School will run from: June 23 to July 25, 2025.

II. Courses

The student will decide which courses they would like to attend.

The Anglotech programme of courses taught in English includes six, week-long technology trends tracks.

III. Cultural Activities

The UPM International Summer School offers complementary cultural activities.

The cultural activities include:

  • Trip to Toledo
  • Trip to Segovia
  • Guided walk around Hapsburg Madrid
  • Guided walk around the Passage of Light World Heritage Site
  • Guided tour of the Prado Museum
  • Guided tour of Queen Sofía Art Museum
