The HSLU Luzern, Swiss University of Applied Sciences, was established in 1997 by the Government of Switzerland as a public funded university. We offer Bachelors and Masters programs.

About the Program

This internationally oriented degree program, which is fully taught in English and devoted to information technologies, digital transformation and sustainability, is one of a kind. 

With its compulsory semester abroad, the program accounts for the global significance of these topics while fostering diversity in its international student body. 

Students have a high degree of freedom in choosing their specialization in the second half of the program, which allows them to become experts in a field of personal interest. Moreover, students can pursue a dual/double degree or, depending on their skills and interest, a PhD.

  • Globally, Switzerland is ranked 3rd in average salaries, #2 in global competitiveness, 1st in innovation, and #4 in happiness (including security).
  • Lucerne University of Applied Sciences is a public funded university in Switzerland, and we do charge only a very basic tuition fee and administrative fee every semester.
  • Masters of IT, Digitalization, and Sustainability offers specialization streams (Computer science & Digital Business) and taught 100 percent in English with diversity of students from more than 10 countries with a class size of 25 students.
  • Specialization tracks : Technology : Artificial Intelligence,Big Data,Cyber Security,Blockchain,Virtual Reality and Digital Business.
  • Mandatory one or two study abroad semesters: 3rd and 4th semesters.

Nominated students will be interviewed very soon and admitted to the program immediately if they meet the admission requirements. In addition, if the student has very good English communication skill and do not have TOEFL (96)/IELTS score ( 7 Band) as of now. We are open to consider the student provided he/she takes the exam and submits the score before start of studies if offered admission.

Nomination eligibility criteria:

  1. Personality
  2. Academics (Good grades in Bachelors of Engg in Computer Science or Information Technology)
  3. Good English skills: 7 IELTS Band or 96 TOEFL Score or C1 in Cambridge
  4. Pay app. 5800 CHF (6000 USD) for 2 years of study fees to university
  5. Sufficient funds of 24,000 CHF (25,000 USD) to take care of living costs (housing, food, medical insurance) and able to meet embassy requirements for visa
  6. High motivation levels to pursue the study program

  1. Photograph
  2. Resume / CV
  3. Passport copy
  4. Personal essay or Motivation letter: One page
  5. Certificates: 10th,11th,12th and Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science or Information Technology with English translation if not in English
  6. IELTS/TOEFL Score report or Proof of English proficiency examination date confirmation letter (IELTS/TOEFL)
  7. Proof of finances: Bank statement with a minimum amount of USD 6500
