Requirements

The student must download the Internal Outbound International Mobility Form (WORD, 61.23 KB) and send it to [email protected], duly completed and signed by the coordinator of his/her career once he/she has approved the courses. In addition, you must attach the required documents in a single PDF file.

*You must have completed your first semester of third year or higher, be an active UTP student and have a GPA of 1.75 or higher.

• Academic transcripts (translated to english)
• Copy of passport
• Photo for Student ID and Residence Card ( JPEG, GIF, PNG or any other image file format, Taken within 6 months, No hat, facing front and No background (including shadows)
• Letter of motivation
• Certificate of English or Japanese language proficiency less than one year old
• Proof of enrollment from the last semester enrolled at UTP
• Letter of authorization or consent signed by the dean of your faculty or the director of the Regional Center

*Once the documentation is received, the student will be nominated to Kitami Institute of Technology and will continue with the process of registration, platforms and others.

Additional requirements (upon selection)

1. The selected student must obtain health insurance to cover the time of mobility stay abroad and must show a copy or evidence of this document.
2. The student must submit an Experience Report 5 days after returning to Panama.

• Tutor students (Each exchange student will be supported by a KIT student as a tutor)
• KIT Scholarship 10,000 JPY/month
• Japanese language classes for exchange students
• Exemption from tuition fees
• Recognition of grades (with prior approval of the career coordinator)
• Cultural exchange

Accomodation

On-Campus KIT Student Dormitory is available

*If there are not enough rooms in the dormitory, students may be referred to another room.

-Private room (approx. 13.4 m²), shared bath and toilet

-Fully furnished: desk, chair, locker, bed (with mattress and bedding), refrigerator, small kitchen (with hot water supply and induction cooker), blind curtains, heating facilities, Internet facilities
